This exclusive Pappy & Company handmade humidor is a one of a kind treasure we have been working on for the past year to perfect. In collaboration with Heritage Handcrafted, known for their whiskey barrel pieces, we have created what we believe is the ultimate humidor for the bourbon and cigar aficionado. This humidor not only serves as the perfect storage device for our barrel-fermented cigars, but also serves as an art piece with its fine craftsmanship, handmade details, and unique finishes.
We used our Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrel staves to create the outer shell of the humidor. The box's top shows the inside char of the bourbon barrels while the sides display the exterior staves. We intentionally kept the design understated to let the natural beauty of the staves be the focus of the design. Our three keys icon is engraved in the corner and the piece is finished with hardware handmade in California. We chose the solid uncoated brass finish for a more natural look which will patina over time and compliment the natural look of the aged barrel wood staves.
The interior of the box is cedar lined with a removable tray detailed with our key pattern. We used a Boveda cedar holder for the two-way humidification system already installed in the humidor to ensure the consistent regularity of humidity within the device. The humidor can store up to 150 of your favorite cigars.
James Broyhill, founder of Heritage Handcrafted is well known for his craftsmanship and attention to detail. Heritage Handcrafted was our first collaboration when we originally started using our Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels for Pappy & Company goods and are excited to launch our second custom piece with them.
